Visit Gertens – Gertens quality garden goods started in the early 1900’s by Frank Gerten, who began Gertens as a small truck farm, selling the produce he grew on his beloved land primarily to the local residents. It is now run by the fourth generation to carry on Frank’s vision. The garden center for the largest selection of flowers, trees, and other plants in the Twin Cities area – And they grow their stock onsite, unlike most of their competitors.

Rock Island Swing Bridge – The Rock Island Swing Bridge was a swing bridge that spanned the Mississippi River between Inver Grove Heights MN and St. Paul Park MN.It was one of the few double-decker bridges on the Mississippi, with the top level formerly used for railroad traffic and the bottom level formerly used as a road crossing. After closing, the bridge sat dormant in the open position for 10 years before being partially demolished in 2009. It was converted into a recreational pier which opened to the public on June 11, 2011.
